Production Preferences

Getting started

  1. Sign in as a system administrator. Other users cannot view or change company configuration.
  2. Open Settings → HNR Preferences → Company Information → Production Preferences.
  3. Choose Level 1, Textile, Automotive or Defense. This only changes the draft. Clean room is a separate choice for every industry.
  4. Enable the features you need. Select the documents required for subcontract returns if using quality packages.
  5. Select Save production preferences and check the success message. New orders use the saved version.

What the options mean

Attaching a file

Save the parent record first. Select Choose file in Attachments. Level 1 does not require a document number or formal revision; expand Document details when needed. Required document control needs drawing revisions and applicable document numbers. New versions do not erase earlier files. HR and bank evidence rules are unaffected.

Industry templates

Choose at the last setup step or Settings → HNR Preferences → Company Information → Production Preferences. Templates: Level 1, textiles, metal/tube/profile, machinery, furniture/wood, plastics/rubber, electronics assembly, electrical panels/cables, packaging/cardboard/labels, footwear/leather, automotive and defence. PPAP and cleanroom are off in the eight new industries; suggested controls are optional or warnings. Review feature modes and subcontract return documents, then Save. Existing orders retain their rules. Templates do not add industry-specific functions, machine integrations or certification compliance. The chosen template also shapes the screens: with the textile profile (or the custom profile with fabric inspection switched on) the Fabric tab appears on the stock card, and is hidden in the other profiles.

Existing work

Each new order stores a copy of its rules at creation. Switching to Level 1 does not remove an existing order’s obligations. Historical records of disabled features opens previous evidence. Quarantined material is not automatically released. This option does not grant new permissions.

Example: one customer needs PPAP

Enable PPAP as Optional at company level. Under Additional customer / product requirement, add a Customer scope with the exact customer code and PPAP — Required. New orders linked through that customer’s production request receive stricter rules; other customers do not. Project and product-group scopes are not included in this first version.

Troubleshooting

Version conflict: another administrator changed the settings. Reload, review and reapply your change. Dependency error: enable lot/serial for certificates; a scope cannot enable a company-disabled feature. If the server cannot read the policy, retry or contact IT with the error message.
